About

Our story

Kris Cox enjoyed homeschooling her four children so much that when her own homeschooling years were finished in 2011, she created Kris M. Cox Educational Services to continue providing consultation and support for other homeschoolers. In 2013, she began speaking for homeschool groups. In 2014 she spoke at her first MACHE convention. More speaking opportunities came, and she began traveling around Minnesota conducting workshops and speaking at conventions. During these years Kris provided one-on-one consultations with families, hosted a support group for new homeschoolers, and wrote the Homeschool Life All-in-One Planner and the Homeschooling with Confidence Guidebook. Kris and her good friend Kris Hage together wrote what is now the Growing the Fruit of the Spirit Unit Study.

In 2021 Kris began praying for someone to come alongside her in this work. To smooth the path for another leader, Kris M. Cox Educational Services became Homeschooling with Confidence, LLC in 2022. The following year, God led Trisha Pull to join Kris, and Trisha began speaking for various homeschool groups and at the MACHE convention in 2024. In July of 2024, Trisha became the formal owner and manager of Homeschooling with Confidence, LLC. She strives to preserve and enhance the rich legacy homeschool support and encouragement so lovingly built by Kris.

Trisha Pull has twelve years of experience teaching at home, starting with one pupil in kindergarten in 2012. This year she has six children in grades 6, 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12. Along the way, she has assigned her students to workbooks, textbooks, video curriculum, co-op classes, a live online class, and miscellaneous other learning approaches, because different kids have different learning needs. She believes that school customized to the individual student is one of the great strengths of homeschooling.
Trisha’s own story began in Lincoln, Nebraska, in 1978. In 2013 she moved to the Twin Cities. In between, she sojourned in Kansas, Baguio City, Philippines, Connecticut, Maryland, and North Dakota. She has a bachelor’s degree in oboe performance and music education. Perhaps more importantly, she has an unhealthy appetite for books on parenting, marriage, and homeschooling.
Trisha grew up attending church, but did not find much life or energy in it until college, when she started to begin to understand the difference between legalistic religion and the world-changing life that Jesus offers. Since then she has walked a long road of breaking free, re-learning, and drinking deeply of what it means to live in intimacy with a God who is Father, Friend, Helper, King, and so much more. She still has far to go.
Music, University of Kansas basketball, tea, strategy board games, and running are some of Trisha’s hobbies. Home renovation television shows are one of her vices.
